The Pathfinder was an exceptionally reliable vehicle, but it didn’t live up to its luxury moniker of “Platinum Edition”. I soon created a goal to transform the spartan Pathfinder to a vehicle that can challenge the likes of Porsche and Land Rover in a luxury interior comparison. In order to get that luxury car feel, I began to research the materials used in the ultra luxury car segment, and what I found was that nearly all luxury vehicle manufacturers used a suede-like material called Alcantara.  Alcantara is used in Ferrari’s, Maybach’s, and Lamborghini’s. In my mind, if it was good enough for a Lambo, it was perfect for the Pathfinder! The interior had to suggest high end Range Rover or better. I think I reached this goal!
