About my Avalanche
Hello my name is Matt haag and Im the proud owner of a 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche 4x4 5.3 Liter V8 LT2 package truck. Nickname the Panty Dropper cause when girls
get in they just drop. I first bought this truck in 2007 from a chevy dealer and started doing my research and upgrade homework. I've had a lot of things done to this truck so lets get started.
First the Engine, from the dealer the truck had 310 HP out of the 5.3 V8. I've added a K&N Cold Air Intake for a 17 Hp gain. Then I added JBA Headers and Gibson Dual Rear Side Exit Exhaust to help move the exhaust gases from the truck. Both of those upgrades added 20 HP. I then added a Hypertech Programmer to wrap it
all together. The chip added 20 HP. Adding it all up the engines somewhere in the neighborhood of 380HP. I also added a Yellow Top Optima Battery for better power supply.
Now to the Exterior of the truck. I added a Chrome Strut Grille Package on the front and painted
the Chevy Bowtie black to match the truck. I also painted the rear bowtie black too. I then added a Rear View Camera in the rear license plate so you dont see it and to help backup. I then added Foose 24 Inch Black Rims on Nexen Tires. I then added a 2 inch drop
package to the rear of the truck to level it out and make the truck stance better. I then tinted the windows limo dark and added a tint strip across the front window. I also added HID Headlights and Foglights for better visability when driving at night.
Now to the Interior of the truck. I added a Kenwood DNX 7120 Double Din Screen Head Unit. The Head Unit will Play CD's DVD's and controls the GPS, Sirius Radio, Backup Camera, Ipod Connect, Bluetooth Handsfree, Rear Flip Down Screen, Bose audio system and two subs and amp. I then added a Flip down screen for the rear passangers. Under the back seat are two 10 Inch Kenwood truck subs and a Kenwood Amp to power it all. I also have a Deep Cell Battery behind the
subs to help support the power needed to power all the electronics in the truck.
So there you have it, My 2007 Chevy Avalanche.
Future plans for the truck are some led taillights and SSBC big piston brake kit to help stop the truck better.
Please post my truck in the readers rides section of your magazine and please send me a copy of the issue so I can show it off to my buddies. Truckin Magazine your great and keep up all the great articles.
Thank you Truckin,
Matt Haag
