About my B150
We bought this Van new in 1986 and started cutting and welding, Put the '88 Corvette tail lights on, reshaped the front facia a little just to improve the stock Dodge look Built the grille out of stainless steel and polished and polished. bumpers are the same. There is no chromed steel on the van it is all polished Stainless. The whole project has taken 22 years with a few breaks to drive it around the country a couple times. It spent eleven months at our neighbors place ... J&J Fiberglass for some one off spoilers and hood. The gull wings, flairs and wing to be made from stock molds. The dash , I built about three years ago out of aluminum covering the Vintage Air conditioner , with another Vintage Air rear unit. I built the bucket the guages are set in housing the Billet Specialties guage mount holding the complete set of Auto Meter guages with electronic speedo. The flame cuts were cut by waterjet compliments of Evansville Sheet Metal Works. The overhead console Houses a Cobra 129 CB Powered up with a 200 watt kicker and K-40 antenna, just to reach out and touch someone. Pioneer Jam system with time kept by Dacota Digital. Still yet to come and on the work bench is installing the Gear Vendors Over / Undrdrive unit to help the 727 TCI tranny achive a more normal rpm on highway driving. The control unit is already installed in the overhead console. I do wish I could remember all the good times we had with all the people lended an hand here and there to move this project along and to those who said it would never get done.................well you know !
