MY RIDE: This is my 2003 PT "Dream Cruiser" Series 2. I bought it new, and until recently, was my wifes daily driver! Though originally slated to produce 2700 units, this one is Serial # 0377 of 1800 actual Limited Edition Dream Cruisers built by Chrysler in 2003.
ENGINE: The Engine is a mostly stock 2.4 Liter 24 Valve Double Overhead Cam Turbocharged 4 Cylinder. The Cam was upgraded, valves, and pucks ground down, along with a modified Turbo Kit, allowing for an increase in HP from 215 stock, to 240. Along with a 5 speed Auto Stick with a shift kit, and this thing is pretty quick! I only pegged the speedometer once at 140! That was about 3/4 hammer down, and though she will do more before top end, thats plenty fast enough for me!
PAINT: The Paint was just redone using a custom tinted mix of 3 stage Candy Tangerine pearl from House of Kolor. The paint is actually 2 shades darker, and richer with color than the stock paint. The Flames are done with a black base, and then highlighted with gold, copper, silver, and gun metal gray streaks of ice pearl to make the flames change color in direct light. Then finally the Flames were given a Maroon drop shadow, and were hand pin striped starting with Orange in the front, and transitioning to red in the back. Finally everything was covered in 14 coats of Clear for that deep, deep shine I love!
SUSPENSION: is done old school with a full 3/5 drop on a set of one off custom springs which brings the overall body height to 4", and 3 1/4 clearance under the front, and back lower valances!
INTERIOR: is 2 tone Orange, and Slate Leather with matching door inserts, and a Fiberglassed Flame Steering Wheel.
AUDIO/VIDEO: For entertainment, I have 2 headrest Monitors in the front seats, Alpine DVD,and a full custom sub enclosure in the trunk which houses a pair of Comp Series Chrome Performance Techniques 10" Subs mounted inverted to add a little thump! Power is provided from a Performance Techniques 1000 Watt 4 channel Amp mounted in a custom Sub Floor, but a new chrome plated amp with a gold plated Chrysler Logo, along with a new custom amp rack are going in next week! All this is run by an in dash 6 disk changer head unit with Serious Satalite Radio. For lighting, I have 42 Orange LED's mounted throughout the Interior to give it a nice glow, and a red top Optima Battery to keep it all up and running!
FUTURE PLANS: I am currently working on finishing out my sound system, and adding a custom fabricated forward tilt hood set up on actuators to work by remote! Next year will be a set of air bags, and new wheels by way of 18"s in the front, and 20"s in the rear which should tuck nice, and neat!
Thanks for checking out my ride! Heres to keeping it clean, low, and slow!
C Ya! Candyman
