Just started this latest project of mine. Bought it over a year ago and have been gathering the "Goodies" here and there to make it cool.
Two weeks ago it finally made its way into our shop
CHEREPKOS AUTO BODY for the "trans-formation". (<<<Shameless Plug...lol)
Once the left bedside was replaced, out came the stock taillamps, then in went the fillers and 94 - 98 Caddy buckets.
After I get the rear lights fabbed in, my next step is the tailgate. I have a real nice 87 El Camino gate. I plan on chopping the outer skin off to use the license plate area and bezel in the center of the Escatruk's gate.
The handle will get flipped to the inside also. And naturally the rear of the bed will be finished off with a Smoothie steel rolled pan. Ya' cant forget about that!!
I manage a shop that is known in our area for putting together some wild hot rods and muscle cars, so I just had to build a smooth truck to break it up just a little bit.
I have given this truck the nickname "Divorce Court" because it was supposed to be a work truck....hey I never told "HER" it wasnt, but she kind of wonders why the so-called work truck has to have caddy taillamps,a custom tailgate, and an Escalade clip, go figure. I don't think there is any law that will prohibit how cool you can look drivin' to work! She just dont get it.
Anyways..I will throw up some more pics as I progress. Sorry I can't post any way cool pics of a sweet truck yet, maybe in a few months, I will be able to. Depending on how busy the shop is. It is hard to manage a shop, have 3 kids at home, keep the little woman off your back and finally make the time to do your truck stuff. Sometimes life is such a drag.....LOL
Thanks for looking,
ESCATRUK
